Yacht Club launches a water school in Hyderabad
Waterschool in Hyderabad: At Durgam Cheruvu, youngsters above eight can now take lessons in various water sports, including kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle boarding
In addition to the sunset kayaking that the facility provides as a leisure activity for people interested in water sports, these activities are available. The goal is to hold events like Kayakathan and Hydrathon and introduce a life-saving certification program in the following days.
At Duragam Cheruvu on Saturday night, several kids and adults were observed participating heartily in a variety of water sports. The visitors applauded the trainees as the elders saw their kids participate in water sports in the lovely weather.

While praising the Water School’s amenities and the safety precautions in place, many parents also look forward to seeing their kids develop their skills.
“Since both of my children are sailors, expanding this resource beyond Hussain Sagar to the western portion of the city is commendable. Our city will develop more champions because of this facility, according to Anita Reddy, a teacher at the Water School.

Officials from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department stated they wanted Telangana to develop world champions in the water sports industry when they approved the Yacht Club of Hyderabad’s request to expand their facility at Durgam Cheruvu.
An official stated, “We want this Water School in Durgam Cheruvu to serve as a nursery for future Olympic and Asian champions in addition to becoming a hub for all water sports.

” The Olympic Class Laser and International 420 Boats that have already been made accessible at Water School are also available for adult enthusiasts to learn on. The official noted that the knowledge gained here will be useful in every body of water throughout the world.
The price for kayaking is Rs. 1,400 per session and Rs. 5,600 for five sessions. The cost for surfing and stand-up paddle boarding is also the same. In contrast, the cost of sailing is Rs. 9,500 for 12 sessions.
