Okati Coffee, the name itself draws attention right?
Life in Kowkur may lack the hustle and bustle associated with city roads, but ‘Okati Coffee‘ is driving traffic to the area. The café, which opened in 2021, is as unique as its name and has recently drawn people of all ages.
Okati Coffee follows in the footsteps of the Italian restaurant Thinespo in Kompally, which used a catchy Telugu name. “Giving names to restaurants is popular in Telugu – Okati Coffee means ‘oka (one) tea and coffee.’
Because of the unusual name, we have customers not only from Kowkur, but also from nearby areas such as Yapral, Alwal, Sainikpuri, and A S Rao Nagar,” says café owner Vinayak Rao.
Vinayak left his 20-year corporate career to start the café business during the pandemic, motivated by his passion for cooking and business. Together with his wife, he created the Continental and Chinese menus.
Okati Coffee’s food is delicious, with portions of pasta, appetizers, sizzlers, pizzas, burgers, and desserts like a brownie with ice cream. Aside from various hot teas and coffees, the café also serves cold coffees and mocktails to keep you cool during the summer heat.

The café is only open by word of mouth, and some of the most popular dishes are Veg Manchuria, Mixed Fried Rice, Fish and Chips, Fried Chicken and Cheese, and Lavazza coffee.” The menu items range in price from Rs 60 to Rs 350. “
We currently have a team of six chefs and plan to open additional locations in Kompally and Vishakhapatnam,” says Vinayak
Trust me, each dish has its own taste and loved all of them. Would definitely recommend their special in-house made non alcoholic red wine. It’s beyond amazing.

Visited this beautiful café yesterday, the place has a very cool ambiance. It’ll definitely lift up your mood. They have lovely indoor and outdoor seating. I tried their mocktails, sandwiches, pastas and appetizers.
Also their mocktails were top notch and the veg platter was the best, served with three different dips. Overall I really had a great time there. The service was quick and staff were friendly.
You can just go grab a coffee and read a book or play board games and have a great time.
